We’re proud to announce the first ever in-person Boombox workshop at the 32nd International Congress for Conservation Biology in Brisbane, Australia. The session will introduce BoomBox, share applications and research from the field, and discuss experiment setups, deployment considerations, best practises and limitations. We’ll then provide participants with hands-on training to assemble and set up the system in various configurations, before opening discussions on new ideas and features. This free, day-long, in-person workshop features:
- Hands-on experience with Boombox. We will be assembling and configuring Boombox to a camera trap and exploring the different experiment set ups.
- Learnings from the field. Learn how to deploy Boombox into the wild and all the practical tips and tricks for successfully getting it into the field
- Different BoomBox setups and applications. We will be going over different applications of Boombox, application specific software, how to use them in your deployment, and specialty functions of Boombox beyond it’s basic capabilities.
- New Features. Get a sneak peek at upcoming features, variants, and additional functionality to plan your experiments and deployments around
- Q&A with developers and other ecologists. Get direct access to the developers of Boombox to ask questions about operation, functionality, hypothetical scenarios, or anything else you can think up.
